Clif Crunch and ZBar

My boyfriend and I are big fans of Clif bars and buy a box nearly every week. Well this week we wanted to try some of the other products offered by this company. So we grabbed a box of Clif Crunch White Chocolate Macadamia Nut (We love this flavour in the regular Clif bars) and a box of Clif Kid Chocolate Chip Z Bars. (They are Goblin because this was around Halloween, Spooky!)

I’ll start with the Crunch Bars, these were a bit disappointing in aesthetics. The back of the package shows a heavenly bar with white chocolate chips and a drizzle of chocolate atop the bars. Fortunately, they still tasted amazing.

~Low glycemic to keep you full

Cost: $2.99 for 5 packs of 2 bars

Overall Rating: 6.5/10

These are super crunchy and hard (they’re supposed to be) but still delicious. A perfect breakfast on the go or hiking snack.

On to the Z Bars, these are much different than regular Clif bars. I first had the Honey Graham flavour and described it as if someone had already kinda chewed up all the teddy grahams and then mushed them into a bar. I know that sounds gross but with the Chocolate Chip ones it works. It’s like eating one big chocolate chip cookie bar that’s soft and moist with just a hint of cinnamon and rolled oats.

~12 g sugar

~2 g protein

~100% organic

Cost: .69 cents/bar or $10.99/ 18pack

So the good thing with Clif is all their kids products are 100 % organic, it’s like they know that little baby bellies are even more important than ours. (: I think these are a great dessert treat for kids and adults alike. I don’t know if it’s breakfast material though!

Overall Rating: 6.5/10
